Sisterhood Matters

Organised by the team at Circumspecte, Sisterhood Matters is a series of discussions, candid conversations and events around women’s health, relationships, careers and more. The main event this year takes place in Accra on 6 April. It will feature segments including workshops for students, recent grads and professionals, a networking mixer and giveaway. This is a brilliant initiative to empower girls and women in their personal and professional growth. Read more on ways to support the cause and join the conversations online using the #SisterhoodMatters hashtag.

Ghana from above

Verdant greens to dramatic landscapes. Shimmering waters to powdery sands. Moody grays to pink skies at dusk. Odartey Aryee’s ode is an aerial kaleidoscope of colours, people and hauntingly beautiful terrains across Ghana. Complete with a catchy score. Worth a watch – and then a few more.

Perfume & Prose

Bookpress runs one of the best bookstagram accounts with a unique twist. Not only does the “African Scentsation” write lively reviews, they are also liberally paired with fragrances. One for book lovers who like their prose with a spritz of perfume.

The multi-faceted content creator and all round supportive person is also the co-founder of Black Travel Creators, a platform that amplifies Black creatives. She has a great eye for detail and some of the best self-portraits while travelling solo. In this post, she shares ten of her tips for capturing great photos.
